Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will help with regulatory compliance efforts for federal, state, and local environmental projects.

You will collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists to apply risk assessment methodologies, develop QA/QC documents, and contribute to client-facing communications. Travel may be required up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline with professional scientist registration/certification or Master's degree in Science or related discipline.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Travel may be required; frequency contingent on duties and projects.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and analysis for human health and ecological risk assessments.
• Assists development of DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Prepares CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs.
• Collaborates with scientists and engineers on project approaches.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentors them.
