Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC in the Central Region is seeking an Environmental Principal to lead growth, deepen client relationships, and shape the firm’s environmental strategy. This senior seller-doer role combines business development with technical leadership and regional influence.

You’ll mentor project managers, guide teams across compliance, site investigation, permitting, and remediation, and collaborate with regional leadership while working remotely or from any Apex office within the Central

Qualifications

• 15+ years of environmental consulting or leadership experience.
• Established reputation with a network of industry contacts.
• Proven success in developing and growing client relationships.
• Seller-doer with balance of BD, client mgmt, and project execution.
• Ability to develop strategic relationships with executives and facility personnel.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow strategic relationships with regional, national, and multi-site clients.
• Lead client calls, meetings, and major proposal efforts; collaborate with SMEs and client managers to win opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance across environmental services including compliance, remediation, permitting, and audits; QA/QC oversight.
• Mentor project managers and technical staff; promote technical excellence and consistent project execution.
• Monitor regulations, market trends, and industry developments to identify opportunities for clients and Apex.
