Apex Companies is seeking an Environmental Principal to lead growth of the environmental consulting business in the Central Region. The role focuses on building trusted client relationships, driving organic growth, and influencing the strategic direction of the practice with regional leadership and technical teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of environmental consulting, engineering, or leadership in the field.
• Proven ability to grow client relationships and win new business in a consultancy.
• Strong seller-doer mindset balancing BD, client mgmt, and project delivery.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Experience mentoring and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand strategic relationships with regional and national clients.
• Identify, pursue, and win opportunities through technical and market expertise.
• Lead client calls/meetings and coordinate major proposals with SMEs.
• Drive cross-selling across environmental, engineering, and related services.
• Mentor Project Managers to develop BD capabilities.
