Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an Environmental Principal to lead growth of its environmental consulting business in the Central Region. This senior seller-doer role focuses on expanding client relationships, shaping strategy, and leveraging Apex’s national capabilities.

You will collaborate with regional and division leadership, national account managers, and technical teams while maintaining a strong market presence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of environmental consulting or related leadership experience.
• Established professional reputation with a network of industry contacts.
• Proven ability to grow client relationships and win new business in a consulting environment.
• Ability to operate as a seller-doer balancing BD, client mgmt, and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead relationships with regional, national, and multi-site clients in priority markets.
• Identify, develop, and win opportunities through technical expertise and networks.
• Lead client calls, meetings, and major proposals with PMs and subject-matter experts.
• Contribute to cross-selling across Apex's environmental, engineering and related services.
• Mentor Project Managers to build business development skills.
