Job summary

Chimes is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping people with intellectual and behavioral challenges reach their fullest potential. This entry level supervisory position involves leading a staff team, ensuring active treatment, and coordinating resources and training to support persons served.

You will monitor attendance, arrange temporary staff when needed, and work with the program manager to reduce turnover while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree is required; Bachelor’s degree in a related area is preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities is a plus.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have a care and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the agency’s insurance carrier and policy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate staff and persons served; provide feedback with the program manager.
• Verify staff attendance and ensure active treatment.
• Manage staffing levels and arrange temporary staff as needed.
• Assess adaptive equipment needs and refer appropriately.
• Ensure materials are ready at shift start and throughout.
• Document incidents and use crisis intervention when needed.
• Develop staff through orientation and ongoing training.
• Work with manager to reduce turnover.
• Conduct visits/inspections to meet contract specs.
• Ensure compliance with DOL regulations relating to persons served.
• Serve as a positive role model.
