Chimes Metro, Inc. in Newark, NJ is seeking an entry-level supervisor to lead a designated staff team, provide training, coaching and performance evaluations, and ensure active treatment for people served.

You will coordinate staffing, monitor safety, document incidents, apply crisis intervention when needed, and partner with management to reduce turnover while meeting DOL regulations and program expectations. This role supports growth within a purpose-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree is required; Bachelor's degree in a related area is preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision, training, coaching and performance evaluation to an assigned group of staff and persons served.
• Verifies staff attendance and ensures active treatment.
• Assesses staffing needs and arranges temporary coverage as needed.
• Assists with adaptive equipment referrals to enhance productivity.
• Documents incidents and uses crisis intervention in emergencies.
• Focuses on staff development and ongoing learning.
• Works with management to reduce turnover.
• Ensures compliance with contractual specifications and DOL regulations.
