Job summary

Chimes is seeking an entry-level supervisor to oversee staff and individuals served, providing training, coaching and performance evaluations. The role supports ensuring active treatment, proper staffing, and compliance with regulations while fostering a positive work environment.

The position emphasizes staff development, crisis intervention, and collaboration with management to reduce turnover, with responsibilities across shift supervision and program quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's preferred.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with persons with intellectual disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.
• Valid driving record according to agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, training, coaching, discipline and performance evaluation to staff and persons served.
• Verifies staff attendance and ensures active treatment for all people assigned.
• Ensures adequate staffing and arranges temporary staff as needed.
• Assesses need for adaptive equipment and makes appropriate referrals.
• Ensures materials are in place at start and during shifts.
• Documents incidents as needed.
• Uses crisis intervention skills in emergencies.
• Responsible for staff development including orientation and ongoing learning.
• Works with manager to reduce turnover.
• Conducts visits/inspections to ensure contractual specifications are met.
• Familiar with all DOL regulations as relating to persons served and ensures compliance.
• Serves as a positive role model for other employees.
