Job summary

Haymarket Media US is seeking an entry-level People Operations Coordinator in New York, NY. You will support onboarding, HRIS data entry, and benefits administration as part of the People Ops Team reporting to the Head of People.

This hybrid role requires three days in the New York office and collaboration across HR functions. The successful candidate will be organized, curious, and collaborative, with 1–2 years in People Ops and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a People Ops/HR function.
• Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite; knowledge of HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle HRIS, travel and PO/T&E data entry for onboarding/offboarding and status changes.
• Maintain all employee personnel files in HRIS system.
• Answer FAQs from employees on policies, time off, benefits, etc.
• Monitor HR inbox and forward emails to contacts as needed.
• Assist Talent Acquisition Manager with interview calendar and internship coordination.
• Provide written and verbal employment verifications.
• Create onboarding schedules and experiences for new hires.
• Prepare reports (new hire, turnover, benefits, EEOC, etc).
• Coordinate onboarding/termination with IT for access and equipment.
• Audit weekly timesheets for full-time staff; track for interns/part-time.
• Update HR & Benefit process worksheets.
• Track wellness program expenses and reimbursement with Cigna.
• Coordinate Wellness and Learning & Development logistics.
