Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience improving workflows and driving efficiencies.
  • Comfort communicating with employees, leaders, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to manage several projects in a fast-moving environment.
  • Good judgment with confidential/sensitive information.
  • Experience using AI or technology to summarize information, evaluate data, or automate tasks.
  • Familiarity with Workday or another leading HRIS is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding for interns, graduates, and experienced professionals.
  • Serve as a resource for new employees handling orientation, benefits, and internal resources.
  • Support HR processes including changes, verifications, relocations, performance review admin, and departures.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in Workday and other systems.
  • Prepare reports, update trackers, and ensure accessible People data.
  • Handle confidential employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Provide logistical support for internship and early career programs.
  • Manage program calendars, meetings, communications, and participant information.
  • Identify workflow improvements and partner with Recruiting, Legal, Compliance, Workplace Services, and Technology.

People Operations Coordinator

A high-performing global organization is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join its New York team. This role sits at the intersection of HR operations, employee experience, and talent development, providing hands‑on support across several important stages of the employee journey.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing detailed processes, and motivated by finding smarter ways to work. This is an opportunity to gain broad exposure across the People function while supporting initiatives ranging from new hire onboarding and employee changes to early career programming and professional development.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Employee Experience and HR Operations
  • Coordinate a thoughtful and well‑organized onboarding experience for interns, recent graduates, and experienced professionals.
  • Serve as an accessible resource for new employees, helping them navigate orientation, HR systems, benefits enrollment, internal resources, and company programs.
  • Support recurring HR processes, including employee changes, employment verifications, relocations, performance review administration, and departures.
  • Maintain accurate employee information within Workday and other internal systems.
  • Prepare reports, update trackers, and ensure People‑related information remains organized and accessible.
  • Handle confidential employee matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Learning and Early Career Programs
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for internship, new graduate, leadership development, and employee learning programs.
  • Coordinate program calendars, meetings, speakers, communications, materials, and participant information.
  • Manage program details from initial planning and pre‑arrival preparation through completion and follow‑up.
  • Support feedback surveys, evaluations, and reporting to help measure program effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal leaders and facilitators to create a smooth and engaging experience for participants.
Process Improvement and Collaboration
  • Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and create a better employee experience.
  • Use technology and AI tools to organize information, analyze data, streamline processes, and improve reporting.
  • Partner closely with colleagues across Recruiting, Legal, Compliance, Workplace Services, Technology, and the broader business.
  • Track multiple priorities simultaneously while ensuring deadlines, details, and follow‑up items are handled consistently.
  • Contribute to additional People team projects and initiatives as business needs evolve.
What We’re Looking For

  • Familiarity with Workday or another leading HRIS is strongly preferred.
  • Previous exposure to internship, campus recruiting, or early career programs is a plus.
