Job summary

Fresenius Kidney Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) in Outpatient nephrology care. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for an assigned group of dialysis patients, with delegation of tasks to RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

The RN CAP1 contributes to education, team leadership, and quality improvement within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team and may travel to training sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with active state license.
• Current RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry-level RN with CAP program eligibility; nephrology exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Coordinate care and delegate tasks to direct patient care staff.
• Document in patient records and communicate with Team Leader and Physicians as needed.
• Provide patient/family education and collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team.
