Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track within the Clinical Advancement Program. The role emphasizes clinical assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group in a dialysis setting.

The nurse will coordinate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and patient care technicians, participate in team decisions, and support quality improvement, education, and transfer of knowledge within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state in which employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a RN.
• Minimum 9 months experience as an RN.
• Minimum 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN.

Responsibilities

• Performs functions under supervision and guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or RN team leader.
• Conducts patient data collection and documentation for hemodialysis patients.
• Educates patients and families on care plans as needed.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Assists with emergency response as required.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current appropriate state licensure

Current or successful CPR BLS Certification

Must meet practice requirements in the state employed

RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience

Minimum 9 months RN experience

Minimum 3 months dialysis RN experience
