Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 designation to provide and coordinate nephrology dialysis care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group. This role supports a team of RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians in a dynamic dialysis setting.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease team, you will educate patients and families, participate in quality improvement activities, and complete CAP

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state where employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient data during dialysis, adjusting the care plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs and care plans.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor direct care staff as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and documentation.
