Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse (CAP 1) for our Outpatient program. You will participate in clinical advancement, providing and coordinating care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, you will collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, perform assessments, educate patients, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in a fast-paced dialysis setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in state of practice.
• Experience not required beyond entry level but nephrology/HD exposure is preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain.
• Current state licensure must be in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients during outpatient hemodialysis.
• Collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians to deliver safe, effective care.
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and options.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Lead or support daily care delivery as part of the CAP team.
