Job summary

Rocs, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level NOC Technician in Herndon, VA to monitor networks, troubleshoot issues, and support customers. You will work within the Network Operations Center environment, gaining exposure to monitoring tools and enterprise support systems.

The role is ideal for someone starting a career in network operations or IT, with a willingness to learn and grow under experienced professionals. Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts will be part of a full-time onsite schedule.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
1+ year in networking/IT is preferred but not required.
Fundamentals of OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Monitor network management systems and helpdesk channels to identify and respond to issues.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, access, applications, and telecom problems.
Provide timely technical support to internal and external customers.
Respond to requests via phone, email, web chat, and ticketing systems.
Diagnose problems, explain solutions, and give step-by-step guidance to users.
Determine issue severity and escalate to the appropriate team as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of requests, steps taken, services provided, and status.
Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior staff.
Support 24/7 network operations, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
