Job summary

Pomeroy is seeking an experienced NOC Technician to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise IT infrastructure in a Las Vegas, NV on-site environment. The role supports network, server, voice, and data systems in a fast-paced 24/7 operations center.

The ideal candidate has hands-on networking equipment experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple incidents with SLAs. Overnight shift Tue–Sat, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, long-term contract.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar environment.
• Hands-on experience configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Strong understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• Experience with enterprise routing, switching, LAN/WAN/WLAN, and data center networking.
• Familiarity with timing, outages, and incident coordination within SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor IT infrastructure, network devices, servers, and voice/data systems for alerts and outages.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and coordinate timely resolutions with IT teams, vendors, carriers, and providers.
• Document, prioritize, and escalate incidents and service requests per SLAs.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
• Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center networking, routing, and switching.
• Coordinate planned outages and network maintenance with technical teams and providers.
• Collaborate with IT support groups to ensure incident management and service continuity.
• Provide limited after-hours Service Desk rollover support as needed.
• Prioritize multiple alerts while maintaining clear communication.
