Job summary

VSO Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level NOC Network Analyst to join our team in Lorton, Virginia.

This role is ideal for individuals starting a career in network operations, eager to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient network environment. You will monitor networks, assist with troubleshooting, and collaborat e with providers and senior teammates while pursuing DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and TS clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent knowledge/experience in IT or CS.
• Basic networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and VLANs.
• Familiarity with network hardware such as routers and switches.
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security).

Responsibilities

• Monitor network systems to ensure uptime and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues related to routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Collaborate with senior team to identify and resolve connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with service providers and vendors to address outages.
• Support network security per established policies.
• Maintain and update network diagrams and inventory records.
• Generate basic reports on network status and performance metrics.
• Learn and apply best practices for network operations and incident resolution.
