Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union is seeking an Associate Member Services Representative in Goldsboro, NC. This entry-level role provides foundational knowledge of branch operations and focuses on exemplary member service both in person and by phone.

You will complete core training and modules, learn basic account opening, cash handling, and transaction processing while maintaining confidentiality and security across channels. Growth opportunities exist through continued training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree, or CCUE Certification, or Associate of Arts degree or Associate of Science degree via the NC-CTP.
• Must possess an aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust in the Credit Union.
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have good problem-solving skills.
• Must complete the Credit Union’s Core Module Program within 12 months of hire date as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members in person and by phone in a courteous, timely manner.
• Process transactions, including cash handling and deposits, accurately.
• Open basic accounts under supervision and follow MIP procedures.
• Balance cash drawer and vault, and perform routine balancing tasks.
• Support other departments to fulfill member requests and maintain records.
