Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to contribute to educational, healthcare, corporate, and science/tech projects in Buffalo. You will work under a licensed engineer to design ductwork, piping, and controls, develop load calculations, and model systems in BIM.

Strong communication and ability to handle multiple projects are essential. The role requires an Engineering degree (ABET preferred) with exposure to energy modeling and Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering required by hire date.
• ABET-accredited program preferred.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, solar energy, and fluid dynamics in HVAC design.
• EIT/LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform uncomplicated HVAC system designs under supervision.
• Prepare building load calculations and energy models.
• Assist with RevIt/BIM modeling for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for contract compliance.
• Support site visits to verify conditions and construction progress.
