Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance in hyperscale and enterprise data centers. This entry-level role is ideal for starting a career in data center operations or technical infrastructure.

You will perform staging, cabling, labeling, inventory, and documentation tasks, learning from experienced colleagues. You will handle basic moves, adds, changes, and disconnects, with safety and quality standards guiding all activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking or data center infra.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling concepts is an asset.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong documentation and data entry skills.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physical environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment, consumables, and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists.
• Assist with rack positioning, leveling, and preparation under supervision.
• Install rack accessories and PDUs.
• Support rack-and-stack activities and move equipment safely.
• Patch copper and fiber per port maps and instructions.
• Route and dress cabling per standards.
• Capture serial numbers and installation records.
• Execute MACD activities under guidance.
• Perform routine inspections and escalate issues.
• Follow MOPs, safety, and quality standards.
