Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment in hyperscale and enterprise data center environments. This entry-level role is ideal for those starting careers in data center operations, telecommunications, or technical infrastructure.

You will perform hands-on tasks such as staging equipment, cabling, labeling, inventory management, and documentation while learning industry best practices alongside experienced colleagues.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role in data center operations.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists.
• Assist with rack positioning and prep under supervision.
• Install rack accessories (PDUs, cable managers, blanking panels).
• Support rack-and-stack activities and move equipment as directed.
• Perform basic copper/fiber patching per maps and instructions.
• Route and dress cabling per standards and labeling conventions.
• Capture serial numbers, rack locations, and installation records.
• Record MACD activities under guidance of seniors.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and escalate issues.
• Follow safety, MOPs, and quality standards.
