Job summary

Ericsson is hiring an Associate Data Center Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance in data center environments. The role is entry‑level, aimed at building skills in equipment staging, cabling, labeling, inventory, and documentation under a collaborative team.

You will work primarily in Plano, TX with a remote option within Texas. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and hands‑on training, offering growth within data center operations and telecommunications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, telecommunications equipment, networking.
• Familiarity with copper and fiber cabling is an asset.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and follow detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
• Strong collaboration and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
• Prior exposure to data centers or technical training programs is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks and update tracking systems.
• Assist with rack positioning and prep under guidance of senior staff.
• Install rack accessories and PDUs.
• Support MACD activities under direction of seniors.
• Perform routine visual inspections and escalate issues as needed.
• Follow procedures, safety, and quality standards at all times.
