Job summary

Grameen America in New York is seeking a Relationship Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and engage in branch outreach to recruit and support members. The role reports to the Branch Manager and requires a positive attitude, clear communication, and a willingness to learn.

The position is on-site with regular local travel to neighborhoods served by the branch, including in-person meetings and community events to grow the client base and verify borrower information.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or two years of relevant work experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly center meetings to collect loan repayments and share updates.
• Build positive relationships with members to support retention and growth.
• Respond to member inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Perform in-person home verifications and business visits for borrower information.
• Maintain high standards of service, quality, and productivity.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and assist with prioritized projects.
• Conduct outreach through local channels and travel within the branch’s community.
• Grow the program by recruiting new members to meet growth targets.
• Monitor loan activity and ensure compliance with repayment schedules.
