Job summary

Skanska is seeking a VDC Director to define and lead the enterprise digital construction delivery strategy for complex building portfolios. You will establish governance, standards, and data frameworks to enable model-driven planning, cost and schedule integration, and reliable project execution across phases.

As a senior partner to operations, controls, and commercial leaders, you will scale VDC technologies, build capability, and drive outcomes in safety, quality, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years with VDC in construction and leadership across multiple projects.
• Experience authoring BIM standards, LODs, naming conventions, and data exchange.
• Proficiency with BIM tools including Revit and Navisworks; familiarity with other platforms is a plus.
• Ability to lead model-based estimating, scheduling, and cost integration at portfolio level.
• Strong governance, QA/QC, and data integrity discipline across projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion enterprise VDC strategy and data standards.
• Oversee federated model development and clash resolution workflows.
• Integrate model data with schedule, cost, and controls at portfolio level.
• Scale model-based estimating, procurement, and offsite strategies.
• Institute QA/QC, health audits, and version control policies.
• Lead reality capture and as-built verification programs.
• Translate model outputs into site delivery standards and workflows.
• Develop VDC teams; plan staffing and succession across projects.
• Define data schemas and reporting standards for analytics.
• Collaborate with IT to pilot new digital tools and platforms.
• Track portfolio VDC KPIs and provide executive insights.
• Support pursuits with VDC narratives and risk analyses.
• Adopt technologies like AI to improve efficiency and decision making.
