Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic VDC Director to lead the SAT VDC program, define operating models, and oversee portfolio-wide BIM/VDC strategies. You'll coordinate standards, staffing, and cross-office collaboration to deliver model-based projects and digital turnover across portfolios.

The role requires extensive VDC leadership, a deep understanding of BIM workflows, and the ability to drive governance across complex construction programs. Join a team focused on measurable impact and innovation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive VDC experience in construction, including leadership of multiple projects/portfolios.
• Experience establishing and governing VDC standards, execution plans, model coordination and quality processes.
• Proficiency with BIM/VDC software platforms and workflows for model authoring, coordination, schedule integration and data exchange.
• Experience implementing BIM Execution Plans, standards, LOD definitions, and data exchange protocols.
• Understanding of building systems, drawings, specs, codes, and managing VDC contractual obligations.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Define SAT VDC operating model and standards for consistent client/project experience across offices.
• Establish portfolio-wide BIM/VDC frameworks, data requirements, quality controls, and turnover standards.
• Author and enforce BIM Execution Plans and company-wide modeling standards and data protocols.
• Develop staffing strategies and forecast demand across projects; balance utilization of resources.
• Foster multi-office collaboration and knowledge transfer of proven workflows and templates.
• Adopt and shape software standards, governance, and enterprise vendor strategies; manage approvals.
• Oversee delivery of model coordination, 4D/5D planning, and digital turnover across portfolios.
• Establish QA/QC reviews to identify delivery risks and ensure contractual/compliance adherence.
