Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a BIM/VDC Manager to lead project-level digital strategy across teams, design partners, and vendors. You will ensure BIM deliverables are compliant, actionable, and aligned with project goals while advancing field implementation and QA/QC workflows.

Key duties include developing BIM Execution Plans, coordinating 3D/4D/5D workflows, building dashboards for visibility, and guiding digital layout, laser scanning, and drone data integration on complex projects.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree in a related field is required.
• 5–10 years of VDC design/construction experience with progressive responsibilities.
• Proven success leading VDC on multiple projects, or one XL project.
• Strong written and oral communication; capable of teaching and presentations.
• Experience with 3D modeling and model coordination software.
• Hands-on experience with laser scanning, photogrammetry and UAV operations; FAA Part 107.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of Digital Engineering, VDC, and Digital Delivery across multiple large projects.
• Establish and manage project-specific digital delivery strategy, BIM Execution Plans, workflows, and coordination standards.
• Drive the coordination process across stakeholders, including clash detection and issue tracking.
• Manage delivery of Digital Engineering scopes, schedules, budgets, and adherence to requirements.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards, deliverables schedules, and coordination documentation.
• Support site data capture and model-based workflows including 3D/4D/5D/6D/7D.
