Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking a high-impact sales professional to drive revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions to prospects and existing clients in a defined territory.

You will develop targeted account plans, understand customer business needs, and build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders. You will lead strategy, respond to RFPs, and collaborate with Vertex Consulting to craft compelling proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business; 15+ years of outside sales experience in transaction tax software.
• Strong working knowledge of Vertex or comparable transaction tax software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions to prospects and existing clients.
• Develop territory strategy and account plans to penetrate defined markets.
• Build executive-level relationships and gain support for customer initiatives.
• Respond to RFPs and develop joint proposals with Vertex Consulting.
• Identify large opportunities and close sales across multi-department enterprises.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance Vertex solutions and customer outcomes.
