Job summary

You will develop account plans, engage C-level sponsors, respond to RFPs, and partner with Vertex Consulting to win strategic opportunities across multiple departments. This role requires deep tax software knowledge, superior presentation skills, and a proven outside sales track record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business required.
• 15+ years outside sales of transaction tax software required.
• Strong knowledge of tax software and ability to sell to C-level executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory strategies and account plans to penetrate a defined territory.
• Generate revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions to prospects and existing clients.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders at senior levels.
• Respond to RFPs and develop joint proposals with Vertex Consulting.
• Drive opportunities with executive sponsors across multiple departments to maximize account value.
• Collaborate with Sales Management to manage and maximize accounts.
• Stay informed on tax industry trends and Vertex offerings to inform customers.
• Close strategic opportunities and negotiate terms in line with company standards.
