Job summary

Vertex Inc. seeks a high-impact sales professional to drive revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions across a defined territory.

You will target new and existing accounts, map business needs, and craft tailored proposals to win multi-department, enterprise deals. You will develop strategic account plans, build executive relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success and long-term value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business, plus 15+ years outside sales experience in transaction tax software.
• Strong track record of relationship development and business development.
• Experience selling software or consulting services to mid- or senior-level decision makers.
• Background selling software and/or consulting services to mid- or senior-level decision makers.
• Equivalency acceptable in lieu of formal education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions in a defined territory.
• Target accounts, develop strategy, understand companies' tax/technical environments, and fit Vertex solutions.
• Sell enterprise-wide value to executive-level stakeholders in multi-department orgs.
• Develop and manage account plans for new relationships and maximize account value.
• Respond to RFPs and develop joint proposals with Vertex Consulting and partners.
• Collaborate with other teams to develop interfaces and expand Vertex solutions.
• Participate in other projects or duties as assigned.
