Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking a high-impact sales professional to drive revenue for its tax solutions by targeting new and existing accounts within a defined territory.

You will develop strategic account plans, understand customer tax needs, and tailor Vertex solutions to meet business goals. The role emphasizes building executive-level relationships, managing RFP responses, and collaborating with Vertex Consulting and partners to maximize account value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business required; 15+ years outside sales of transaction tax software experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Vertex or comparable transaction tax software.
• Experience selling to mid- or senior-level decision makers and in multidepartment enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Sell Vertex tax solutions to defined prospects and existing clients within a territory.
• Develop territory and account plans to penetrate new and existing accounts.
• Build long-term customer relationships and respond to RFPs and joint proposals.
• Sell enterprise-wide value and influence executives across customer organizations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and expand interfaces that use Vertex products.
