Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking an experienced senior sales professional to generate revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions to prospects and existing clients within a defined territory. You will develop account plans, understand customers' tax and technical environments, and build long-term relationships.

You will drive opportunities at strategic and tactical levels, engaging with executives and supporting RFP responses, proposals, and partnerships to maximize account value for Vertex.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business; 15+ years of outside sales experience in transaction tax software.
• Experience selling to mid- or senior-level decision makers.
• Strong working knowledge of Vertex or comparable transaction tax software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell Vertex tax solutions to defined territory and targets.
• Develop territory account plans and penetrating strategies.
• Build executive relationships with customers and partners at high levels.
• Respond to RFPs and develop joint proposals with Vertex Consulting.
• Collaborate with Sales Management to maximize account value.
