Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. in the New York City metro area is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join the Global Enterprise Team as a trusted advisor in pre-sales.

You will showcase Cisco solutions, set up demonstrations, and design configurations to meet customer needs. You will translate business priorities into technical solutions, present architecture perspectives across Cisco products, and contribute to RFPs and formal sales plans with account teams; travel to NYC-based customers is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or client-facing consulting roles.
• Cisco product experience or relevant experience with key competitor offerings.
• Pre-sales experience, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CCNA) or equivalent are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to Enterprise customers and partner with account teams.
• Demonstrate Cisco product solutions, set up demonstrations, and explain features/benefits.
• Design and configure products to meet customer needs.
• Develop formal sales plans and RFPS with team.
• Translate customer priorities into technical solutions and architecture across Cisco portfolio.
