Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Engineer for its Global Enterprise Team in the New York area. You will join a pre-sales technical role within a customer Account Team, demonstrating Cisco solutions and configuring products to meet client needs.

Qualifications

5+ years of related experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or client-facing consulting roles.
Cisco product experience or relevant experience with key competitor offerings; pre-sales experience translating technical solutions into business value.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent).
Professional certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CCNA) or equivalent are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Be a member of a customer Account Team in a pre-sales role, showcasing Cisco product solutions and configuring products to meet customer needs.
Demonstrate business value of Cisco Services, Solutions, and Architectures by aligning opportunities with customer challenges and priorities.
Collaborate with Account Managers and Product Specialists to present solutions and support architecture development for global customers.
Act as a consultative trusted technical advisor for the account team and customers.
Stay up-to-date on Cisco innovations and competitors' solutions, products and services.
Assist with development and execution of formal sales plans and RFPs for assigned accounts.
