Job summary

Chainguard is seeking a Sales Engineer to assess customer requirements and demonstrate how Chainguard products meet their needs. You will build relationships with decision-makers, drive technical wins, and collaborate with engineering for requested features.

Responsibilities include demos, RFP/RFI responses, POVs, and partnerships with Sales to convey value. Located in the Detroit area with OTE-based compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sales Engineer or Pre-Sales Engineer.
• Experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks.
• Experience selling to Enterprise (3+ years) and Mid Market prospects.
• Familiarity with container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google) and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to evaluate and prove the value of Chainguard’s solution.
• Acquire new logos while growing existing customer base.
• Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities and articulate Chainguard’s value.
• Conduct demos, POVs/POCs, and participate in webinars, meetups, and conferences.
