Job summary

Avalara is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead planning, governance, and end-to-end execution of large, complex enterprise implementations for Avalara’s Excise platforms. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, manage critical paths and cross-border delivery, and mentor junior PMs in a remote-capable environment.

The role requires 5+ years in enterprise SaaS implementations, strong PSA/Jira/Confluence experience, and executive-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive project/program management in enterprise SaaS implementations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record leading large enterprise software implementations from initiation to go-live.
• Strong skills in managing scope, schedules, budgets, RAID registers, and change control.

Responsibilities

• Plan and govern large, high-visibility enterprise implementations from initiation to post-go-live support.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, and ERP dependencies.
• Manage risks, escalations, and stakeholder communications at executive level.
• Mentor Associate PMs and Project Managers; improve PSA workflows and reporting.
