Job summary

Snowflake is seeking an experienced Solution Engineer based in or near Dallas, TX. You will work with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize winning sales cycles, deliver value-based demonstrations, support enterprise PoCs, and close business.

The role blends business and technical context, requiring strong presentation skills, data-warehouse expertise, and cloud technologists. Expect ~30% travel and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 7–8 years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a pre-sales environment
• Outstanding presenting skills to technical and executive audiences
• Broad experience in large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse tech, ETL, analytics and cloud technologies (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric)
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python
• Able to map customer problems to Snowflake solutions
• Able to perform deep discovery of customer architecture and connect to Snowflake Data Architecture
• University degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related fields; Masters in Data Science or MBA is a plus
• Experience with GSIs (EY, Deloitte, Accenture, etc) would be beneficial
• Travel ~30%

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
• Demonstrate and communicate Snowflake value throughout the sales cycle, from demo to PoC to design and implementation
• Stay current on industry trends and competitor technologies to position Snowflake effectively
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and messaging
