Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Solution Engineer based in or near Dallas to solve complex customer problems, align with the sales team and partners, and close large deals. You will deliver compelling value demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and guide design and implementation across the sales cycle.

You will operate in a business and technical context, engaging with executives and technical stakeholders, while traveling ~30% to meet customers and partners.

Qualifications

• 7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years within a pre-sales environment.
• Outstanding presenting skills to technical and executive audiences, including whiteboard and demos.
• Broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
• Ability to map customer business problems to Snowflake solutions.
• Ability to perform deep discovery of customer architectures and link them to Snowflake Data Architecture.
• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields; masters preferred.
• Experience with GSIs (EY, Deloitte, Accenture, etc) would be beneficial.
• Approximately 30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
• Demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake throughout the sales cycle from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.
• Stay immersed in the industry, understanding competitive technologies and positioning Snowflake accordingly.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and messaging.
