Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales professional to own new business within a large enterprise territory. You will cultivate relationships with senior security and IT leaders to drive multi-stakeholder deals from initial engagement to negotiation and close.

The role emphasizes positioning InfoSec solutions within business risk and resilience contexts, with a need to manage complex cycles and hit quotas in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in B2B sales, especially new business development or opportunity creation.
• Experience selling cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise tech preferred.
• Engages and influences C-level executives (CISO/CIO/CTO)
• Manages complex sales cycles and multiple opportunities simultaneously
• Demonstrates ability to meet/exceed quotas in high-growth environment
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• CRM tools experience (Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Take charge of new business acquisition within the specified enterprise territory (2,000+ employees)
• Develop and execute account penetration strategies to win net-new organizations
• Build and manage a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting (cold outreach, events)
• Identify and engage senior IT leaders (CISO, CIO, CTO)
• Lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles from engagement to close
• Position value of InfoSec solutions in terms of risk and resilience
• Drive deal strategy, pricing, and contract negotiations per guidelines
• Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting
• Be self-motivated, independent, and resilient in a fast-paced environment
