Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business with 15+ years outside sales experience in transaction tax software.
• Proven track record of relationship development and business development.
• Strong knowledge of Vertex or comparable transaction tax software.
• Experience selling software or consulting services to mid- or senior-level decision makers.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions in a defined territory.
• Target accounts, develop strategy, and understand customer tax environments.
• Drive enterprise-wide value propositions to highest levels within customer organizations.
• Manage accounts to maximize Vertex value.
• Build relationships at senior levels and respond to RFPs and joint proposals.
• Gain support for customer initiatives and influence partner interfaces.
• Keep customers informed of Vertex direction and developments.
• Stay current on industry developments and tools, applying Vertex services and marketing tactics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in additional projects.
