Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking a high-performing enterprise sales professional to drive revenue for Vertex tax solutions across a defined territory.

You will craft account plans, penetrate new and existing accounts, and build executive-level relationships to advance complex tax software deployments. The role requires strategic selling, RFP responses, and collaboration with Vertex Consulting to co-create proposals that win large, multi-department opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business; 15+ years outside sales experience in transaction tax software required.
Strong working knowledge of Vertex or comparable transaction tax software preferred.
Experience selling software/consulting services to mid- or senior-level decision makers.

Responsibilities

Generate revenue by selling Vertex tax solutions to defined territory and target accounts.
Develop territory strategies and account plans to penetrate new and existing customers.
Build long-term relationships with customers and executives; sell enterprise-wide value of Vertex solutions.
Respond to RFPs and develop joint proposals with Vertex Consulting.
Collaborate with internal teams and partners to maximize account value and customer outcomes.
