Job summary

Rosendin is seeking an MPS Assistant Project Manager to provide administrative and construction support for our Program Management team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will manage project documentation, supervise assigned project activities, and ensure all project quality controls are in place. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least 8 years of engineering experience, along with registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer, are essential.

Job description

The MPS Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing overall administrative and construction support for our Program Management team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes.
  • Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned by the Head of Programs, including planning, coordinating, and resolving problem areas while ensuring all company and project policies, procedures, and standards are maintained and consistent.
  • Maintain change order, submittal, and drawing control logs; prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
  • Create contract submittals that are accurate and timely for submission review.
  • Create and issue subcontractor contracts.
  • Create and timely deliver owner and maintenance manuals.
  • Monitor the project quality control plan to ensure it is being followed and documented issues are being identified for corrective action.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain the correct documentation and drawings for the owner and maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure the warranty log is up to date.
  • Represent the company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Cooperate with and technically assist field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
  • Registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required.
  • Field (startup, commissioning and troubleshooting) experience is strongly recommended.
  • Education and experience can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Travel
  • Up to 25% (does not include local field visits).
Working Conditions
  • General work environment: sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on a job site.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
