Qualifications

Position Summary

The Engineering Team Lead is an engineering management position responsible for providing technical engineering oversight and managing design teams for engineering projects. The role involves financial, resource allocation, logistical and technical leadership, and has the capability to mentor and train staff under their supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes. Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned by the Head of Programs, including planning and coordination, problem resolution, and ensuring that all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained and consistent.
  • Maintain change order, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs; prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.
  • Create accurate and timely contract submittals for review.
  • Create and issue subcontractor contracts.
  • Create and timely deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Monitor the project quality control plan to ensure it is being followed and documented issues are identified for corrective action.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Keep the warranty log up to date.
  • Represent the company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Cooperate with and provide technical assistance to field personnel assigned to the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor other contractors' activities and progress.

Qualifications

  • Combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.

  • Prepare price change orders and project reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.

Travel
  • Up to 25% (does not include local field visits).
Working Conditions
  • General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending; work conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise level typically low to medium; can be loud on a job site.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
