Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead energy isolation and safety for large-scale MEP systems at a mission-critical datacenter environment in Rock Hill, SC. You will ensure safe conditions and compliance through risk assessments, JHA reviews, and cross-team coordination.

The role requires hands-on leadership in energization processes, LOTO inspections, and safety program execution, interfacing with Cx teams, contractors, and clients to maintain reliable and secure operations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 10+ years of field engineering experience in mission critical facilities and electrical infrastructures.
• In-depth knowledge of MV (>1000V) and LV (<1000V) power distribution SOPs.
• Ability to isolate energy sources and perform absence of voltage verifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working conditions by reviewing procedures, permits, and JHAs.
• Coordinate energizations/de-energizations with energy marshals and stakeholders.
• Lead pre-energization and energization kickoff meetings for first-of-kind energizations.
• Understand Commissioning plans and energization requirements for jobsite equipment.
• Maintain Electrical Safety Plan and develop risk assessments for energized environments.
• Attend daily commissioning meetings and participate in safety inspections (LOTO).
• Coordinate access control and egress for energy isolation areas.
• Train staff on energy isolation processes and LOTO procedures.
