Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead energy isolation and electrical safety on mission-critical datacenter projects. You will own the energy isolation program, coordinate with CX teams, and ensure safe testing and commissioning of MEP systems at a large-scale site.

Responsibilities include coordinating LOTO and outage requests, leading pre-energization meetings, and training staff on energy isolation procedures while maintaining safe work practices in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 10+ years of applicable field engineering experience in mission critical facilities and electrical infrastructures.
• Knowledge of MV (>1000V) and LV (<1000V) power distribution SOPs.
• Ability to isolate energy sources and perform absence of voltage verifications.
• NFPA 70E knowledge and certification.
• Hands-on experience with startups, LOTO, and voltage verification.
• Leadership experience in electrical field, preferably overseeing Commissioning.
• Ability to make decisions in high-pressure environments with tight schedules.
• Ability to read blueprints, one-lines, and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working conditions by reviewing procedures, permits, and job hazard analyses.
• Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to test and validate MEP systems.
• Lead energy isolation activities and ensure cross-site coordination according to policies.
• Conduct pre-energization and energization meetings prior to FoK energization.
• Understand commissioning plans and energy isolation requirements for equipment.
• Develop risk assessments for energized work environments.
• Provide on-site oversight during major commissioning or energy isolation activities.
• Coordinate LOTO and outage requests with Safety, GC, Client and vendors.
• Train employees in energy isolation procedures and verify competency.
• Attend daily commissioning and weekly all-hands meetings.
• Review and approve LOTO permits.
