Job summary

Franklin Energy is hiring a field energy specialist in Charlotte, NC to deliver energy efficiency programs to homeowners, landlords, and utility customers. You will advise on system modifications and drive program adoption through field visits and office coordination.

The role combines on-site work with office time, requiring a proactive communicator capable of driving energy savings, managing projects, and supporting rebate processes. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; technical school degree considered.
• 1–2 years in electric or natural gas utility, facilities management, HVAC design or related fields.
• Energy efficiency experience and/or energy modeling preferred.
• Customer service, sales or marketing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct installation of energy saving products in accordance with program management.
• Promote energy efficiency programs to customers and stakeholders within territory.
• Make outbound calls to existing customers to meet energy saving targets; initiate new business with new customers.
• Enter data into spreadsheets/databases to track energy savings and manage projects.
• Lead presentations promoting energy efficiency programs for targeted groups.
• Assist customers with rebate applications and provide on-site opportunities documentation.
