Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a Field-Based Energy Advisor to provide energy efficiency guidance to homeowners, landlords, building owners and utility customers. You will combine on-site work with office coordination, promoting programs and identifying practical upgrades to optimize energy use.

The role blends field visits (roughly 3 days on site and 2 in the office each week) with follow-up reporting, trade partner coordination, and customer education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; technical training considered.
• 3–5 years in electric/natural gas utility, facilities management, HVAC design/sales, or lighting/energy management.
• Experience in proactive customer outreach and managing staff.
• 2–3 years in energy efficiency or energy modeling.
• Customer service, sales, or marketing background.

Responsibilities

• Direct energy-saving product installations as directed by program management.
• Promote energy efficiency programs to customers, trade allies, and stakeholders.
• Make outbound calls to existing customers to meet energy-saving targets.
• Develop and deliver presentations to raise program awareness.
• Assist with rebate applications and customer inquiries.
• Lead presentations promoting energy efficiency for targeted groups.
• Collaborate with Energy Engineers and other team members as needed.
