Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking an Account Development Specialist (End-User) for the Ohio, Kentucky, and Western Tennessee region. You will identify, contact, and sell to end-user customers and regional engineering firms, driving sales with technical knowledge and strong communication.

The role partners with Channel and Field Application Engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction and hit targets, acting as a key early-stage contributor before accounts are handed to Sales Engineers.

Qualifications

• Technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years minimum sales experience in electronics or industrial automation & controls.
• Experience working with distribution is preferred.
• Comfortable with cold calls and outreach emails.
• Self-motivated with quick learning and adaptation.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed territory sales quotas as directed by sales leadership.
• Build customer relationships using BASE selling principles.
• Generate leads through cold calls, emails, and networking events.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
• Maintain CRM with accurate client information and activity.
• Collaborate with Phoenix Contact team to align efforts and communication.
• Track and report business development activities and performance metrics.
• Develop partner relationships with customers to differentiate us from competitors.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to drive sales.
• Provide forecasts and reports to management as required.
