Job summary

Phoenix Contact in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Account Development Specialist (End-User) to engage end-user customers and engineering firms across Ohio, Kentucky, and Western Tennessee. You will drive new business, support proposals, and maintain CRM data while collaborating with Field Sales and Engineering teams.

The role emphasizes direct outreach, problem solving, and building foundational sales skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of sales experience in electronics or industrial automation & controls.
• Experience working with distribution preferred.
• Comfortable making cold calls and sending outreach emails.
• Self-motivated with ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed territory sales quotas as established by the RSM and/or VP–Field Sales.
• Proficient in BASE selling skills and implement to build strong customer relationships.
• Generate leads through cold calls, emails, and networking events.
• Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
• Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate client information.
• Collaborate with Phoenix Contact team to align efforts and communicate effectively.
• Track and report on business development activities and performance metrics.
• Differentiate Phoenix Contact from other vendors by building partner relationships.
• Focus on customer by averaging a minimum of 20 sales calls per week.
• Drive the use of all sales tools provided to support local markets.
• Work with Harrisburg Product teams to aid in field presentations and notes.
• Proactively utilize all resources to maximize productivity and customer delight.
• Develop effective Mutual Action Plans with assigned distributor locations.
