Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in USA - LA - Bossier City seeks a Medical Support Specialist to apply EMT skills and clinical assessment to donor safety and the plasma donation process. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and support center operations in a regulated environment.

The role requires state licensing in EMT or nursing, CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting. You’ll participate in donor safety programs, EHS guidance, and vaccination initiatives while supporting

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Complete FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies and donor transport if needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
