Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Universal City, TX, USA, seeks Medical Support Specialists with EMT credentials to support donor screening, safety, and plasma collection operations. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician on medical issues, vaccinations, and event handling in a regulated plasma center environment.

The role requires state-licensed EMT/paramedic credentials, CPR/AED, background in clinical settings, and a commitment to patient care, safety, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Consult Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues.
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs.
• Manage employee incidents with Occupational Health/EHS guidance.
• May serve as Pandemic Coordinator under EHS authorization.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and informed consent.
• Manage donor safety and adverse events per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and donor notification of unsuitable results.
• Provide center-level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS).
• Coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for complex cases.
