Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Onalaska, WI is seeking an EMT-Basic Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, and assist with medical issues under physician guidance.

You will also support vaccination programs for staff and help manage safety incidents per EHS guidance. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Wisconsin center.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and a nursing program credential with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs with donor transport to care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical guidance on findings or issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance.
